I have a question...

If you take a stock B16A2 SIR engine, how much HP can it produce with jackson racing supercharger? What kind of boost can it run at without damaging anything?

Same thing with a turbocharger... how much boost can the stock engine take without things falling apart?

Is it hard to put on those kits yourself provided that I already did two engine transplants in the past myself....

All your replies would be appreciated. Thanks :)

I would like to know that too , so ttt !
By the way what's the difference between a B16A and a B16A2 if there's any ?

Actually, there is a lot of misconfusion in this domain. I am talking about my custom turbo experiences. I want to make one thing clarified. There is no such thing as comparing PSI on each. You can run 9 PSI on the same engine from a small KKK03 turbo and make no damage to a b16a, but run 9psi from a Trust T88 turbo and you will kaboum the engine. Psi is factor of CFM, wich mean the flow (in short term explanation).

The main concern you are looking for, is HOw much HP you car make. I would says, a 10,5:1 compression engine would make 250-275HP Maximum on stock internals. As for b18C1, my project, I found out It will make a MAX MAX MAX 285Hp before risking of blowing something.

Honestly, I had setup b16a1-2-3 and they all act different, as well as b18b and will see for b18c...

Trust me, get a good fuel management system, good tuning, BTM and bla bla bla... the more money you put into this part of the aetup, the less risky it will be...

Good Luck..

Cheers

So you'd say turbo is better than a supercharger in the long run, especially since you can always control how much boost u need, etc..... what's the minimum boost u can run on a turbo?

No, there is no where I said turbo is better than supercharger or vice-versa. IMO, i love turbo, I will have turbo, and I will always go turbo, just for the unequal power band and driving pleasure it gives... as well as the sound :)

Good luck

is turbo reliable in the winter?
what's the lowest boost setting u can do? If you wanna save fuel, is it possible to just turn down the boost to bare minimum?

Sorry for all the questions... i never had experience with either a turbo or a supercharger....

There is no real Lower minimum on boost... it's just there is no use of boosting too low... usually, 6psi is real safe...
