When i take off from a start the needle hesitates and then jumps to the current speed. Its not a cable speedometer so i was just wondering if the speed sensor could maybe use a cleaning.

it only does that when your cluster is too hot, if u install a indiglo kit that often happens just trim the center to make a bigger round and it should be fine:bigup:

it's a 93 civic. It doesn't have a speedometer cable. I was just wondering if maybe i could clean the vehicle speed sensor if that would help.

I had the same problem and it was my indiglo gauges. I just tightened the phillips screw under the needle and the problem was over...
