When was Article 258 of the CSR introduced?

If no one has this information on hand who can I contact who will know.

It was introduced in 1986, my car is a 1985, YEE THE LAW DOSNT APPLY TO ME :run:


258. Tout véhicule automobile doit être muni d'un système d'échappement conforme aux normes établies par règlement.


1986, c. 91, a. 258.
 
sounds good but now you have to make sure that that source is reliable and that 1986 was not just a revition of an old law
 
thats a good point, do you think the SAAQ would have this info if I called? Besides, if a law is renewed, doesnt it take on the most recent date as date effective?
 
^^^ or else they would leave the old article and add a decimel to it, like 258.1 or something to show that it has been modified, all great questions that I'm going to ask the SAAQ.
 
lol i seriously laught, good luck with this. I dont think it will work, cuz if you have modified your car exausth after 1986 (witch is the case) you are still illegal.
 
dunno, ffracer doesnt really have a lot to say about it, other than the SAAQ can force you to conform if you want to keep your plate. I'm going to call the SAAQ to find out.

What does the c.91 mean ?

I got a ticket with article 258 codification 51. Resemble a lot to a.258 c.91 could it be a mistake ? :)
