Hi guys,
Long time lurker, 1st time poster.
I have a question regarding a ticket I got last week. (i'm sure alot of you have experience in this matter)
I got stopped downtown for not stopping at a pedestrian crosswalk while a pedestrian was crossing (section 410)... 150$
Anyways, on the ticket it there is no mention about demerit points.. so I'm assuming that they arent taking any.. but when I check on the saaq website, it seems this infraction is worth 2 points (Table des points d'inaptitude | Permis de conduire | SAAQ)
Can I assume that if its not on the ticket, that they wont take away points? or can they still do it?
Also, would contesting this ticket be worth it in no points are charged? Ive never contested a ticket before, so Im not sure..
Any input?
Oh yea,m dunno if it changes anything, but i drive a scooter...
