Hey guys,

Wanted to know if anyone knew what would happen in my case, of if anyone has had a similar case.

One year ago I was busted for speeding (july 2007) by the SQ on the 720.
I was doing 133km/h. As you all know most of the Hwy 20 near the turcotte yards is 70km/h

Hence 7 or 8 points, + 505$.

I will pay the fine, I know i'm guilty.
At the time I did not really have the means to pay it off, so i contested the ticket to delay the payment process.

QUESTION:
I was caught/charged before the new speeding laws/fines were put into force.
When I plead guilty in the next few months, will the new rules apply to me? or will I be "lucky" and still be able to pay according to the previous penalty structure?

Thanks,

You'll pay the amount written on your ticket. The new lawl only apply to the new ticket.

Sorry for my english. If you want a better answer please learn french.

The new lawl only apply to the new ticket.

lawl at the new lawl

Ok.

On a more serious note, at the date you received the ticket the law was inexistant so I assume your fine will not be affected by the new law.
