Complaint on an officer

I know there's a exact legal word for it I don't feel like calling my lawyer. The complaint where it stays in the cops file and if he gets too many he is demoted or won't be promoted. Anyone know what it's called?

Works great honestly I've seen some consequences to cops actions, didn't think it was possible.
