So my suspended Quebec drivers license was transferred into a full valid BC drivers license. Im visiting mtl next month. What happens if i drive in Quebec?

when you get pulled over, do they type in your name, or your dl #? will they even see my old license was suspended?

unless you license was suspended for unpaid ticket
i would say they can do nothing ..your license are valide

as long as your BC driver's liscence is valid, I can't see why you wouldnt be allowed to drive here

Canadian law requires that a licence has to be accepted nation wide

my qc license was suspended for ALLOT of points, when I moved to BC they gave me a valid bc license without any problems(they were fully aware of my suspension in quebec.) My question is, when a license is transferred, does the original one dissapear?

since I now have a Valid BC drivers license, does my quebec one not exist anymore?

or does it still exist and will I get in trouble if I drive in qc?

contrary to what others are saying, I would assume that no you can't drive.

the way I see it is if you have unpaid tickets somewhere, you can't go back until it's settled. So I would assume that if you were deprived from driving in quebec, then you still cannot drive until you have "done the time". So if' you've been away long enough for your suspension to be over with, then you are ok. If your suspension is still in effect, then I dont think you are allowed to drive here.

That's just my way of thinking

How long do you plan to visit?

In realistic terms, even if you plan to stay in Montreal and drive every minute of every day, your chances of getting pulled over, if you follow the basic rules of the road, are very slim. I really wouldn't worry about it.
