Running over a cop?

Just curious if it we're to ever happen would you get charged with manslaughter or something like that? I really don't know what goes through a cops head when he runs into the street to tell you to pull over? I was with a friend the other day on the 13/40 service road near ultramar and a bike cop runs into the road to tell him he's speeding, we almost hit the guy he doesn't even take a flashlight to point at you or something? All this to give someone a ticket for 82 in a 50 am I missing something here wouldn't it be safer to chase the person down instead of running into the street like an idiot and getting yourself killed?
 
just like how cops don't identify themselves when they charge through ur front door serving a warrant. then they get shot and wondering why.

how was he figuring out your friends speed? radar or was he pacing the car on his bike to calculate the speed?:D You should have called another cop over to give the first cop a ticket for j-walking
 
yes they would charge you...but defending yerself you would probably win

because he is the one who thrown i'm self in front of your car...the bull shit of being always responsible of your vehicule don't stand anymore in those case


but badly the reverse is not so equal...if a cop with is car willingly throw im self in front of a speeding bike (a manoeuver that is not allowed) and the bike guy get killed

the cop will end up with a reprimend...hey that as happen and will probably happen again...(i will say with un experimented cops,person)



ps if in deed you had to do some weird maneover to not hit the cop...then yes i would report him...maybe for it's own sake...:run:

I don't know I would say about 30 feet of skid marks. He literally jumped infront of the lane while we we're going 85 he's crazy? Then he just kept screaming 84 dans une zone de 50, then my friend asked him in english cuz he couldn't hear well if he said 94 or 84. He kept repeating 84 in french lol, then my friend said to f off and tell him in english and he said it's quebec I don't have to talk english lol. Maybe he did a drug bust and he was high wonder if that would stand in court :p
 
Happened to me too, i was in the left lane..but since i was going 146 he stayed in the right line lol
 
Les policiers sont pratiquement en permanance a cet endroit.
Ils portent generalement une vest vert fluo.
Oui si tu frappe le policier en roulant a 82 dans une zone de 50 tu risque des accusations de conduites dangereuse. Si il ya mort d'homme!!!!Trouve toi un bon avocat.
Les meme accusations que ca soit un policier ou un civil en passant.
 
If your friend would have gone 50, he would have probably had time to see the cop in time and would have well enough time to stop... there are two ways of seeing it.

But then again, if he was going 50, the cop would never of jumped in front of him!

Common... do you realy want us to believe the cop that wants to stop people going over 60 in a 50 zone doesn't know the cars are going fast?

That techinque should be good for a 30 or 40 zone... not a service road!

And by the way... don't insult a cop... even if he barks at you like a mad bulldog... Just get your fancy cell phone that records notes to record what he says... ;)

And we are in a country that has 2 official languages... Don't let him give you that bullshit of we are in québec... Last time i checked, québec is still part of canada. (Even if it's the only province with 2 tax reports, 2 imigration standards, 2 etc etc etc....)

Oh et c'est tellement interessant maintenant de voir que cette année vu que la population en général a ralenti, les policiers font du radars dans des endroits complètement inutile et souvent dangereux. *Je parle (entre autres) de l'osti d'imbécile qui se park en dessous de l'aéroport dorval sur la 13 à 1 pied et demi des voitures qui passent à 110kmh.. Je l'ai vu partir après quelqu'un ya une semaine et y'a deux chars en arrière qui ont dû barrer les roues pour pas lui foncer dedans.

a year or two ago a cop threw his car in front of two speeding ATV and killed 1-2 person and badly injured another.

He didn't get out with just a reprimand. He was accused of something and fired if I'm not mistaken...

#1 le gars roulait trop vite
#2 le policier aurait pu causer un accident ou meme ca propre mort et mettre la vie de conducteur et son passager en danger sil aurait tenter une maneuvre pour leviter.....

messieur les policier ca cest des bavures......manque de training???manque de gros bon sang??

jai rien contre les policier en general ils font dla bonne job !!
!mais quand ya des gaffe dememe ca devrait etre comme dans l'armée passer sous charge .mausus ont apprend vite ....pis on i pense 2 fois avant faire le zouf.

yeah I know what you mean, last year they hit my friends ATV from behind with their squad car at about 60 and knocked him off..

the assholes really think they can do what they want, thats the scary part. For the most part, they're mostly all power hungry.
 
I was driving to Ottawa at about 120 km/h. A BMW was passing me on the left doing about 140 km/h. All of a sudden, this cop runs out into the middle of the highway and signals, with his arms, the driver of the BMW to pull over. I looked at the BMW for a split second and when I looked back in front of me, all I see is this cop just standing there in the middle of the highway. Had I not hit the brakes on time, it would have been close...
 
how dumb can they get? How hard is it to jump on their bike/squadcar and just go after the guy?! -"Nahh, lets just jump on the street and pray the driver saw me and can stop on time!!" Then, what if some dumb other driver who follows too close is behind you?! KABANG!!

Yes, follow the speed limits, but damn.. :run:
 
Bah, tu ralentis un peu et tu te penches pour ramasser quelque chose sur ton siège passager. Quand ça fait BANG! tu fous les brakes au fond. Ils vont bien voir que les traces de brake sont celles d'un véhicule qui roulait à 50 km/h.

Yea but there's a diffrence between an officer signaling speeding cars to stop in the middle of the highway and a police pursuit..... Weren't your friend aware that there was a police car following him? Why didn't he just stop then? And what have done the police then, wait for him to run out of gaz and hope he didn't take off in the woods... If you ask me, your friend kinda asked for it (at least from what you told us).
 
yeah cause cops dont have reflexes as well....if he sees your not going to stop on time, he will naturally just stand there and wait for you to hit him....
