Yeah, I know I know... eBay + turbo kit is not always good..

BUT

I see there are *suposely* authentic Turbonetics turbo kits for sale for like 1599$ on eBay for D-Serie engines...

Are those good enough for a daily driven civic with a 7-8psi setup (properly tuned) ? Or are they total crap...

What are my other options for a low budget turbo build for my D-serie ?

Thanks!

@ pimp_mike: this is my beater, i don't want to spend too much money on it, plus I'm back in school now so i'm trying not to spend too much on "useless" stuff.

If its a beater don't do it. Its a waste of money. The word beater automatically implies that its not worth spending money on. I would consider it "useless" spending. Now if i was in ur position and going back to school, keep saving up and turbo the tl instead. Or else u just spent 1600 on a "beater"

:run:

Je vais y réfléchir encore. :D

Lol its not worth it man. Keep the money.

This is coming from someone who is spending a lot of money on his car.

I wouldn't say anything if it was a full fledged project. But for a beater its personnally a waste.

But that's just my 0.02!

This actually doesn't look too bad if the car is not a beater. Probably alot easyer to get everything at once than to go all over the place and put together a turbo kit.

You need to know that even after you've paid the 1560$ US means almost 2k canadian taxes included shipped to your home. But your not done yet, your pump gaz will not be enough powerfull + the injectors + i wouldnt have a turbo kit on a 1 inch 3/4 exhaust and your car is not even tuned so need a ''chip'' and tuning you gon see that the bill increase very quickly.

Like others said, i think this aint worth the money , after you will sell your TL you will probably have another car in mind, just wait and see, this wasnt tht much a DEAL this type of deals happens everyday but when u will have the money in your pocket and you spot YOUR almost dream car for ''cheap'' you will be happy that u kept your money instead of putting it in your car.
I didnt say that turbo car doesnt worth it , but it cost money and almost never stop.
