today I help my friend install a bigger swaybar in his 98 civic he got from one of the jdm shops in montreal.
the installation went well and everything seem to fit without any problem.
with the vehicle suspended on jackstands the shifter was fine.
once the car was lowered on the floor the shifter was near impossible to shift.
when the suspension is loaded the swaybar moves to the point it hits the shifter rods underneath.
the jdm shop said it was a swaybar out of a CTR but it does not fit.

we think the jdm shop just gave him bs just to make the sale.

looks like we will have to remove the bar off and bring back to the jdm shop.

what a waste of time*blah*

post dont une photo de comment ta installer la sway bar.... je rirais si a serais installer a l'envers

it is installed correctly but the hump in the center is not high enough

ha yeah ^ Is it possible you put it on wrong?

no it was installed correctly.

went back to the jdm shop and it was a ITR swaybar and it will not fit civic.
need one from CTR or EL would fit.

anyways my friend got his money back.
these jdm shop do not know if it fits or not and just sell you anything.
wasted time even though you are not paying a mechanic to do it.:thefinger

the thing is probably the endlink were not the good one... ;)

because you have 2 kind of endlink in the front

1) sir/ctr

2) and the other (si, hx, ex, teg...)
