1998 civic sedan tail lights choice: i need your help!

I'm looking to get new tail lights for my civic. I want to get rid of the orange part.

I could not find any reasonably priced Acura 1.6EL corners that I could buy to replace only the outer part of my tail lights, so I've narrowed it down to these two choices, but I can't choose!

First one, just like Acura EL corners+oem lid lights:




Second one, more of a "crystal clear" look ("newer" look):



What I'm afraid of with the second set is that it will look "too" new for the car. My paint is kinda beat-up a lil' bit and my headlights are faded a little, so "crystal" tail lights might look out of place?

Please, help me choose.

my choice would be none of the above :S but in between those two I'd pick the first one... I think you are right, contrast will be too evident between crystal clear and your old faded paint hehe
