need help starting problem

hello guys
today i bought 97 2 door accord manual 5 speed.when i bought the car the check engine light was on and the car was working fine.iwent home and try to reset the check engine light by taking out the battery wire when i put the wire back now the car doesnt crank can any one tell me what is it?and now the check engine light working good but car doesnt crank.

you hear something or nothing at all ... maybe a clic clic clic... if yes your battery is low or your starter is jaming.

Did u try boosting it ? ---> for the batt.
Try hitting the starter with the wooden part of an hammer while some else is crancking --> For the starter

If not check the ground wire from Batt. to Body

there is no clicking noice only i can see all the light on the speedometer when i turn on the key.
