Romados has changed a lot since they went with the rotisserie mechanism style. Yes, it's still cooked with charcoal but the taste is a touch different.



Portugalia Rotisserie is a small place and you have to order your chicken well in advance.



Overall, I'll take Braseiro any time.



Chez Doval and Jano isn't too bad as well.

Parlant de poulet portugais, quelqu'un se souvient où étais le Lychee (ça doit faire 8 ans de ça, lol) sur St-Laurent? Un peu plus au sud, sur le coin de l'intersection, côté ouest de St-Laurent, il y avait un resto portugais. Quelqu'un sait le nom?

Du poulet c'est du poulet mais bon... celui qui me vient en tête c'est Poulet Torino au Simmon's au centre ville. L'assiette de poulette est juste insane avec tout les à coté.

Coco Rico is not portuguese chicken! It's sad when people tell me they love portuguese chicken and then they tell me it's from Coco Rico.



If it's not on charcoal then it's not portuguese.



I agree with ed_j that Romados has lost a bit it's touch. It's not the same cook either. But they are still great.



Brazeiro, Chez Doval, Cantinho, Barroso ... all have great chicken.

Pour le meilleur poulet vous devez venir sur la rive-sud à Laprarie. Je me rappelle jamais du nom de la place mais c'est une légende sur la rive-sud avec leur poulet roti au charbon de bois!

Fusee c'est une chaine qui a commence en mauricie y'a bien longtemps



y'en a un deuxieme a outremont

et un peu partout au quebec

^^ janos is great but for the price, id say romados is impossible to beat, i think half chicken, fries and salad is like 8$





too bad its just so damn long...

and to make matters worst, they make you stare at wonderful cakes and pastries while you wait in line :(

i use to live on de bullion closer to rachel and holy! I now live in the west and i still go back!



but between Braseiro and Romados .. I think theyre both amazing and you cant go wrong with any of these 2 choices.

Had Chez Doval for the first time last week...Topo spots in my book.

And if you guys like Jerk there is a spot in Roxboro on gouin that does it over charcoal.
