Air/Fuel Gauge

I just bought the white phantom Air Fuel Gauge by autometer but it didn't come with instructions. The gauge has 3 wires on the back. 1 red 1 black and 1 purple. Rd=+ BL=- but where does the puple one go. Does it connect to the oxygen sensor? Any help would be appreciated.
 
It must be connect to the o2 sensor but witch wire not sure you need the wiring diagram of your car, it must be a wire connect to the ecu, I have the manual at home, I could tell you to night or tomorrow if no one answer you before.
 
i think its the white wire on the o2 sensor. take a pin in put it in the wire and touch the purple wire to the pin, if the lights move, you got your wire.

It's going on a 93 si . I think the oxy sensor has 2 wires.

If you don't mind having an extra wire in youe engine bay, it's the white one. You can also connect it at the ECU on pin D14 and it's the same wire.

yup, you have 4 wire O2 sensor, red on the gauge goes + switched, black goes to -, and the purple goes to D14 like TSI stated.
