I took my car in for maintenance, and they said something was wrong with the PH of my coolant..

They said I'll need to do a coolant acid treatment for 45.95!!

Anyone know of any off the shelf treatements that can balance the PH ??

Go get a rad flush kit follow the instructions and then put new antifreeze mixing it 50% water and 50% antifreeze.

Change the cooling every 50,000 kms or every 2 yrs which ever you do first:bigup:

Warning to all who haven't changed antifreeze in a long time and have aluminium heads.

After 2 yrs of hot cold cycles on ethenolglycol (green antifreeze) it starts to turn to acid and start to eat your aluminium and after a while you will need a new head or at least need to weld up the head to fix it:doh:
