YEs...almost the same engine...except that the other as only 2 more cylinder, and it's a V engine...just minor difference I guess ;)

I have never seen it, and I don't think it's a easy swap at all!

Same engine ??

What the hell kind of crack are you smoking.

QR25DE

VQ35DE

Only thing the same about them is, DOHC and Electronic Injection.

Completely different block, not to mention like Robin said, 2 friggin cylinders difference. And also 1 litre displacemetn difference.

Its tight in the altima, it wont fit in the Spec V. Now, if you wanna cut everything around, and spend 10 grand making it fit, I bet you WILL make it fit. Is it worth the effort ? nah

Now sell me some of that crack your on I need some.

relax...I know I would need a lot of work around the engine bay, not a lot of info on it but I think everything's possible. At lof of different opinions on but no one really proved it.

What about If I have the money and I see that as a project ? Im not saying it would be easy at all but the potential is huge. I might be getting a new engine soon anyway.

Now sell me some of that crack your on I need some.
Come see me at the next npclub's meeting if you really want some

are you sure it's worth it? What is the point of this swap? Isn't there a better way to spend the cash on the car? You are going to spend a shitload of money for +-100whp difference.

bah Im pretty sure its not worth it...as I said im only asking and thinking about it.....my car needs way more power and Im just looking for ideas. Ive read about this swap and everyone's against it, even if no one really tried it . Physically it fit, it just need a lot of work :)

I think you would have to add the front end of the altima to make it fit. Giving you a Sentima or an Altitra.
It you prbably be a better idea just to slap on a turbo. A lot less expensive too.

Sorry it was harsh, but it was a rediculous idea :)

I havent smoked for 22 days now, and that day I didint have my nicoderm patch =D

Now, if you HAD the money and you WANTED to do the swap (Honestly, I think you'd keep your mouth shut, do the swap and THEN brag about it :D ) not the other way around.

Im serious. If I had the money to do whatever I wanted, Id do something rediculous like that, in the shadows, then come out and say " VOILA " !!!!

But now, we all know its a useless project unless you have tons of money to burn. IF I had a QR25DE and some money to put in it. Id do full bolt ons.

Some QR25DE's on b15sentra.net are doing over 190whp with bolt ons, including engine mangement though. IF you have more money to spend, give your head to TK Motion. Then you'll probably hit the 200whp barrier.
