Do the points go on my quebec driver licence if i plead guilty and pay the fine? It's a $154 ticket with 2 points. Does anyone know? Please let me know...

That thread is non-conclusive.. this is why i posted. Some people said they got points, some people said they didn't. The officer told me that i'd get no points removed if i pay? Is he bullshitting me or is it true?

if it helps for the archives and what not, I got a fine in the state of New York. I promptly pleaded guilty and paid up. Did not loose any points on my Qc license and no mention of demerit on my registration.

So what this means is, people who want to drive like mad can cross the border for a fun weekend and come back with no penalties, other than the cost of the fines. WOW

When receiving a ticket outside the province of Quebec, all you pay is the fine and the points DO NOT affect your license here.

I know because I got a ticket outside the province for almost $400.00 once and the points were never on my record from the SAAQ.

no no and no, I got 3 tickets at the same time in vermont when I had my 4 points liscence...
The officer told me that I was lucky they couldn't take my points off...

Des points d’inaptitude
sont inscrits à votre dossier
de conduite lorsque
vous commettez certaines
infractions routières.
Même à l’extérieur du Québec
Lorsque ces infractions sont commises dans
une province canadienne ou dans un État
américain avec lesquels le Québec a conclu
une entente de réciprocité, la Société de
l’assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ) en
est informée. Elle traite alors votre dossier
comme si ces infractions avaient été commises
au Québec.
