Irish Flag: three equal vertical bands of green (hoist side), white, and orange; similar to the flag of Cote d'Ivoire, which is shorter and has the colors reversed - orange (hoist side), white, and green; also similar to the flag of Italy, which is shorter and has colors of green (hoist side), white, and red.
Italian Flag: three equal vertical bands of green (hoist side), white, and red; similar to the flag of Ireland, which is longer and is green (hoist side), white, and orange; also similar to the flag of the Cote d'Ivoire, which has the colors reversed - orange (hoist side), white, and green; inspired by the French flag brought to Italy by Napoleon in 1797.
The RGB value for the "reddish" part of the flag is about 143:0:0. Therefore it is obviously an Italian flag, waving in a wind that goes opposite to its mast.
It is, however customary to include the mast when picturing a waving flag. Either way, all flags are unique forward or backwards...
