At .65-inches, the Adamo is one of the thinnest laptops ever, sitting five-hundredths of an inch closer to the ground than the Envy (.7"). But at 4 pounds, it's heavier than both the Air (3 pounds) and the Envy (3.4 pounds). Its machined, one-piece aluminum chassis and glass display round out the premium features found on the Adamo.

The 13.4-inch Adamo has a 720p, 16:9 screen, 2-gigabytes of DDR3 RAM (max 4GB), 802.11n wi-fi, Bluetooth 2.1, and is currently rated for 5+ hours of battery life. It also has 2 USB ports+USB/eSATA combo port, and connects to DisplayPort, HDMI, VGA and DVI with optional cables. The laptop runs on the Intel Mobile 965 Express chipset, making use of GMX4500 integrated graphics for its visual juice.

The use of the Core 2 Duo means that the Adamo runs Windows Home Premium (64-bit, to be exact), and will come in either white or black colorways. The $2000 configuration comes fitted with the above specs while a $2700 config comes with a 1.4 GHz processor, 4 GB RAM and an AT&T 3G WWAN card. Pre-orders will begin starting today, and the first units will ship on March 26.

Since its launch last month, AdamoByDell.com has attracted nearly 800,000 unique visitors from around the world and more than 1 million page views.

whatever. Mac owners buy their macs for the looks. To be trendy. Proof: look at their new commercial about their "greenest laptop ever made". All they talk about is how green it is. Seriously, who gives a flying fµck if a laptop is good for the environment or not. It's only a laptop. But they don't talk about it's specs, price, utility. Just the fact that it's green. Pathetic.

specs, price, utility

MAC =

Specs: Average
Price: Outrageous
Utility: Very limited unless you have a specific use for it.

I already had a mac and never again will I buy another one. Its the most useless POS i have ever used....nothing is compatible with mac. All these litle programs that I use with my PC dont work with mac. Its very frustrating.
And those who claim that they can install windows on it are idiots because windows works like shit on it as its not ment for that.

Like you said...people buy it for the look. To show off. Apple's entire marketing policy is based on that. Their marketing strategy can be compared to that of a trendy clothing manufacturer.

The computer does look great, but is completely useless.

I had already seen the ADAMO and was really impressed. It will take a big market share from mac as in terms of looks its just as nice if not better and in terms of utility it surpasses apple many folds over.

Here we go again.....

lol!

u still bitch at Mac when Dell does worst.... guys remove that dildo from your ass.

Am more a Mac guy but i always admin the good side on the PC and i also have PC at home and work... some people are so stoburn it just amaze me.

You should really calm down with the whole Mac vs PC thing, you take it too seriously.

On a side note, I find it awesome how you can get to people this badly over a stupid subject lol

Apple is for the looks and trend. Like who the fuk gets a phone which has NO bluetooth? wow

i def will not buy an Adamo that for sure, dell failed big time.
