have you ever been to OISHII SUSHI on st-bernard ?

ive been eating sushi forever and never tasted sushi as good as they make there.

abit pricey yes, but never have i tasted better anywhere in mtl.
and they have the best mix alco drinks too !

those who have been there do you agree with me ?

if not what other sushi place in mtl can compare or out-do OISHII ?

Take Care,
Ciao !

Never been there... But the best sushi I had ever had was at Taro, and close second was at Food.

Taro before it closed (the downfall of sushi), and Food before they changed owners... Been looking for a good sushi place for a long time... I'll try that place next time...

never been there either, I always go to Kanda on Queen-Mary or Blvd St-Jean, all you can eat FTW!

La meilleure place que je connais , c'est Maiko . Je ne suis jamais allé à l'endroit dont tu parles . Je vais sûrement l'essayer.

... kanda is good sushi, & all u can eat ftw when ur hungry yes i do agree *tu*

but.... its not mouth watering sushi ;)

im surprised not many ppl have been to OISHII. If you can remember next time, try it out. approx 40-45$ a person depending how many pcs you est, with 1-2 drinks. *tu*

Sushi is very expensive... I can easily eat $70.00 worth, without drinks...

LOL... a few years ago I actually carried chopstick in my bag for when I went to eat sushi... Whipping out my own pair of chopsticks at the restaurant ROFL.

O! The taste of that first piece... creamy avocado melting in your mouth, mingling with the slight acidity of the perfumed rice. Better than sex. Then moving on to more complex flavours and textures. Sushi is definately better than any sex I've had...

Ce n'est pas à Montréal mais les meilleurs Sushis que j'ai mangé sont définitivement chez Yuzu à Québec. Vraiment dispendieux mais vraiment délicieux lol

Sushi is definately better than any sex I've had...

ouch!!! sucks to be you!!! :D
Especially when you just compared eating sushi with masturbation in the Naked sushi thread, so the only sex you've had was with your hand right? That would explain this above statement of yours.

WERD.

Maiko is my pick. Other places are good, but this is definately the best. Ive only been to the one on Bernard in outremount not the one in DDO. its not priced ridiculously either.

u never get good selection at all u can eat joints. you have to do a-la-carte.

Try out Ginza on St-Denis, it's an all you can eat but kills Kanda in quality and selection.

Best sushi I've ever had was in Mikado on Laurier street.

my friend's brother was one of the partners when they started up OISHI a few years ago. i think it must have been around 3-4 years they've been in business. i went once early on for family/friend discount sushi lol, otherwise it's out of my price range (if i actually plan on getting full). but yeah, very nice presentation, fresh and delicious.

it has 2 groups of sushi places, 1 that is purely trendy and normally not owned by japanese
then 1 another is less trendy, but more familial, normally japanese people owns it..
2 different feeling
then all you can eat sushi place that are ok, freshness is not key, ginza (st-denis, near mont-royal) and sushi palace (ville saint-laurent, in the galerie st-laurent) are one of your best picks for all you can eat sushi

then my best sushi picks in mtl are
Juni (laurier st/st-urbain), japanese chef but owned by a white guy, freshness is no1, lots of variety of fresh fish that others doesn't have, but quite expensive
Yoko (jean-talon/pie-ix), lots of variety and special rolls, good place for a date
Maiko is owned by viets, lots of variety and has many special rolls too like Yoko, but it's more a trendy place

and japanese family owned business
Azuma (st-laurent/fairmount) more of a family place owned by japanese, sushi is fresh
Yasu (brossard and la prairie), a family place, fresh sushi and sushi pizza to die for, not your usual fried rice with smoked salmon on top, instead, it's a rice with a seafood salad on top and has melted cheese on top and only for you guys, there's a HOT waitress (the one at brossard on Rome)

I used to go to Ginger almost every Sunday last summer for sake-bombs. Never had sushi there though.... First thing I will do the next time I go there.
