Hey guys. As the title states. When you fire off an email to a company do you generally use normal language, or do you start writing like your texting your best friend because at the age of 15 you still don't know how to spell properly.

I received this email this morning from a customer through our website. Its not the first time, and it won't be the last.

Seriously? WTF.
I googled the persons email and the guy is a totally flake ricer wannabe with messed up MySpace but honestly... you are emailing a COMPANY. The least you can do is write a PROPERLY worded email.

What would you do in this situation. I honestly wanted to just flame the kid and spam his email and MySpace all over MR.

I actually try to write properly all the time now. Your right though if your going to write to some one your not familiar with you should atleast try to write in proper English.

I've always typed properly and very rarely use internet slang/shortcuts.

With a full keyboard there's no reason not to.. when I text message its a different story.

My old boss told me he once got a hand written CV in pencil on loose leaf paper.

He threw it out.

I understand you 110%.

But at the same time, if this guy has the cash to pay you, you are in no position to be judging him. He is a customer nonetheless.

Wow that unbelievable. I always write in full proper sentences whether I'm writing on MR, to a company, friend, or in texts

If everyone wrote e-mails in proper language, you wouldn't know which to take seriously and which not to! ;)

When I write to someone who's not a friend or an "e-buddy", I always pay attention to my spelling and choice of words.

It's natural for me.

I write properly on MSN/Forums/YouTube comments, so yeah, when I'm actually dealing with people and their jobs I like to be understood and not sound like a complete retard.

Yes I do!
