price for a front s14

hi ! i found a s14a( a 240sx 97) for sale but VGA.

i was wondering... everything is in good shape except the front.

hood, fender, bumper, light, rad support are all damaged.

i jsut want to know how much would it cost to repair that..parts + installation + paint...

if anyone know where and how much it will cost , i will appreciate it.

from the looks of the pic you cant tell much but it looks like the engine might be pushed back...

Also it looks like the part of the frame that the bumper, fenders etc is bent to shit so a body shop would have to cut that off and weld new parts... it looks to be a very expensive job to me.

what scrap yard is that i would like to see what the condition of the dsm is like behind(or to the right) of the 240
 
i took off that picture from internet, i dont know what scrapyard it is.. anyway.. how much would it cost to cut them all and install the other parts ?

i dont think the engine is pushed back.. anyway if not.. i would just need to change parts right ?
 
it could be much more expensive than it looks

if its selling for a really cheap price, then its lots of work to fix, otherwise the owner would have fixed it right?

also if the frame is bent AT ALL the car wont drive straight!
 
if you look at th pic the silver part would have to be cut off and have a new one welded on, i dont know if you could buy such a piece. My friend crashed his 240 and bought another 240 to use its front end. He cut off what he needed and welded it to the 240 he crashed. It is a lot of work and i would say it would be expensive considering the year of the 240 and how rare the 97-98 models are.
 
Hum...

If you know you can get a silvia front clip for under 7000$ + the vga if sold for less than 4000$ then you might have something cool

Then again... your best bet would be to find a front clip in a scrapyard or something.

If you want to fix it back using original NIssan parts...
200$ fender
about 350$ the front bumper...
+ absorber
+ lights
+ corners
+ parking
+ rad
+ rad support
+ ...

You get my point.
 
I got a front for a 95-96 for sale if someone is interested (PM me) I got 2 fenders, hood, 2 doors, lights, fogs, rad, and I could find a bumper i'm not sure...
 
From the pic i can see that it also needs

Rad support

and the frame rails are bent

$$$$$
 
yeah... the frame is perfect, just need a front body job.

rad support, rad, fender,hood,bumper,light.. so lets say 4500$installed painted.

and a front silvia clip under 7000$? s14a or s15 ? .. you mean 240sx or real silvia from japan ? .. because it will be great to install a sr20det in there :)

how much for the headlights?

are they in good shape
and are the lens clean or have a yellow tint to them?
 
The Silvia s15 (JDM) complete front clip usually goes for more than 6000 USD not including shipping.

Anyways
In the end it might be worth it to buy that car... as a project.
Then again with everybody selling their 25-96 240Sx you probably can find a better deal elsewhere.

Buy my Silvia, it's for sale, and it as a custom front end with projector headlight from a Infiniti J30 and tons of mod...

By next spring I'm sure Devilish and I will be the only ones around with a gold s14 :p

I'll post pics soon, i'll be out of a job so i'll need to sell my stuff and i'll have time to clean everything and take pics! :)
