Je constate après recherche qu'il n'y a pas de thread de review officiel pour les gars de chez Bimmershop. J'ai décidé d'en faire un.

Pour ma part, j'aime bien.

Ils sont compétents et ouverts a répondre a mes questions.

Donc +1.

moi je leur ai fait faire pas mal de job (installation kit turbo, suspension, déja acheté un diff de M3 E46, freins, etc...) et tout est nickel, jamais eu de trouble, meme que des journées fériées il se déplacait à son garage pour me dépanner !

Moi aussi j'ai fait faire de la maintenance, freins, bushings, fuite d'huile, réparation de subframe, etc.. et j'ai rien à dire de négatif, très très satisfait, sauf que la shop est trop loin de chez moi! :)

J'ai decouvert Bimmershop par un ami (Mikey) il y a 5 ans et Sebastien est dans les meilleurs (sinon le meilleur) mecano que je connais.

Durant mon sejour en Floride, je n'ai jamais reussi a trouver un mecano comme Seb et je suis tres content de pouvoir compter sur lui aujourd'hui pour prendre soin de mon auto!

Les shops honnetes et professionels sont vraiment rares maintenant... Bimmershop gagne a etre connu et le background de course de Seb demontre tout son talent!

Jacques...you know why you go there,cause he knows his stuff.
And you may actually save since you are paying for experience with high performance setups.

A while back I upgraded to M3 cams.My regular mechanic advised against.."rough idle."Incorrect....very smooth ,just like Seb advised.Experience.

Still ways to save money.They just had a garage sale,and I walked away with some deals.
(M50 Intake,sway bar)

I wanted to do a tranny swap,at his prices ....and turning away lotsa $$$ ,he advised against.Truth is my car is more valuable the the Auto anyway,and for track I should get a car with a roof.

Sometimes,better to pay a bit more and save in the long run.

Choose the best,you can't really go wrong.

meme s'il est plus cher de l'heure, un gars comme seb qui sait faire une job de tete de moteur en temps record fait que la facture est pas plus salée, et tu sais que c'est quelqu'un qui connait le produit qui a fait la job..

ca parait dans la balance !

Seb has a beautifull shop and knows his stuff.

I have driven BMW's for 15yrs and do a lot of work myself and trust me his prices are amazing...

The hourly rate is way cheaper then any dealer and he works very quickly because he has so much experience with BMW's. He did my diff in under 2 hrs, my short shift in about 20 minutes.

You may find some backwoods shop that charges less per hour but I guarantee you it will take them longer and end up costing you more.

To prove your point:

I bought an ECU remap (JB3) from Sebastian three weeks ago. Unfortunately, the car would throw misfire CEL codes.

I've dealt with many shops in the past (in Montreal and in Miami) and I know most of them wouldn't have bothered looking for a solution and just refund me.

Sebastien decided to figure out why it wouldn't work. He's been in contact with the owner of Burger Motorsport ever since the first issue happened. More importantly, he kept in touch with me and gave me updates throughout the process. He tried a few things on my car and is always happy yo help me.

I'm aware he's doing a good profit on ECU remap but he could have just decided to cut his lost and refund me. He's selling tons of these things every week, but he took the time to make it right for my car.

I got a new version of the software yesterday. Seb ordered the programming kit from Burger and installed everything on my car.

As Scarface said, you won't hear anything bad about this shop only because their staff really care about the customers and they have the skills to back-up their reputation!

J'approuve aussi: Sébastien est très compétent que ce soit pour trouver un problème ou des modifications. Et il a beaucoup de contacts. Continuez votre bon travail.

bimmershop installed coilovers on my 335 in 2007 and did a great job.. A bit far for me (south shore) but the service was excellent.

I think the best way to judge a shop is to see the balance of enthusiast vs. business and they have a very good balance.

I sent them an e-mail last week. It took him maybe 2-3 days to reply. However, you must assume this is the season that gets busiest.

On another note, great competent mechanic. Very hard to come by to find someone you can trust to do work on your car. I definitely would recommend them to anyone. Seb did a good job on my car even though he took shots in to the blue, due to the fact there was no faulty codes. He was able to diagnosed my problem within only an hour, and took another 30mins to fix it. :bigup:

Yes it is busy time. I respond to 1 mail 2 come in... :) Same with the phone. I guess I'm better at working on cars :)
