White is a challenging color. Hard to see the polish work, or to see if any wax remaining. So extra care is required for this color.

I've known this great client for a while now, and I know he takes great care of his car. Usually I do a wax and interior shampoo. However, the clay bar was not taking care of the rust particles baked on the paint. These look to be from the dealership not taking proper care before delivery. White fools the client very easily, and fools a detailer as well. We many times under estimate the troubles white can bring.

A regular polish was on the menu, as well as the usual interior shampoo. The regular polish was mostly to remove the dust particles since the clay bar was not cutting it. It requires a different process, but overall about 50% of swirls were removed, but before you see the swirls under sunlight you'll go blind. :yikes:

So here are some pics to show this great car, and enjoy.

Quick question .....

When I picked up my car ( same but 09 GLI ) there was some residue on my cluster, what did you use to clean it ( I don't wanna spray windex + scott towel to scratch it all up )

Thanks *tu*

start with a damp microfiber towel.

If that doesn't do it.. then move to googone or ane adhesive remover.. once again with the MF. Take note that since you're removing glue, the MF will scratch your paint if you use it for that after.
