help with my new car

I just bought a 2004 mazda 3 and the previous owner badly damaged the paint. He always parked in a garage where he would bang the doors against the walls of the garage and back up nto cars...etc Now the the is scratched alot and was wonder what i can do to remove some of the scratches and also what to do to bring the paint back to a shine like it was new? thanks for the help guys

It really depends how deep the scratches are. A good trick is to gently pass your fingernail over the scratch. If your nail stops as it is going over the scratch, it's too deep to be completely removed.

If the scratches are not too deep then polishing the car should remove most of the scratches and make the paint shine again.

there are multiple deepness of scratches so i just want to know what to do to remove scratches so i can do the process and what ever comes off comes off and what dosent well thats too bad

It's not that simple my friend. There are different grades of polishes and I cannot tell you which one will work for your particular car without actually testing out a few of them to see which one gives the best results.

Do you have any type of polisher right now?
