It's always a great pleasure working for this client and I'm always happy to see clients back again!!! So as usual, a full detail is schedule for this X5 with an intensive polish. This year however I'm making an extra step on black cars to give that extra gloss. So a 5 step polish was done, finishing with PO185RD. The interior was done with a OEM matte finish cleaner/protection on all vinyl, plastic. Aquapel and all exterior black trims cleaned and protected. Also the HVAC was cleaned to clean fungus accumulated in the AC vents, bringing back a fresh smell that lasts for months.

Hope you'd like the pics, total of 9 hours.

Good job Alex.

Is this the same X5 that you had posted here?

In the before pics I can see lots of swirls on the hood from your current post even if it had not been washed yet. It looks like the client isn't making much effort in maintaining the finish because you had made it almost 100% swirl free the last time you detailed it which means they swirled it up pretty badly in a short period of time.

I always tell my clients it's better to bring their car to a touchless car wash in the winter than have some place hand wash it and just put tons of swirls into their paint.

Not taking anything away from your work, what the client does after you give them their car back is beyond your control.

Yes Vitto, same client.

Are you familiar with German car finishes? Actually, this car's condition is not that bad compared to the nightmares I used to see. Saphire black is easier to work, but a jet black car, you can actually cause scratches while removing wax.. that's super fragile.

You're right, whatever or however the client maintains his car is out of our control, but this is why we are here.. to detail and take care of the car.

I'll post some pics of a car done last Monday.. 7 months old. you won't believe the condition of the car. Hence my beater (91 golf) looks better man.

I've never polished a jet black finish, however I do hear it's quite a pain to maintain and gets scratched very easily. I am sure some clients do maintain their cars well.

I will be looking forward to your post.

Keep up the good work.

Great work! I almost had a heart attack when I saw the before pics of the exterior... was that salt from winter?!

nope.. this suv is just driven as it's supposed to. It wasn't dirt that was there for months. The wheel wells took me a bit longer to clean :run:
