Hey guys i got a toyota aristo and wanns get the engine show clean loll( clean enough) but im kinda scared bout all the electricals and all .... what should i protect and at the same time what stuff do you guys recoment to use as cleaners :)

Hmmmm not really! If it's too acid it'll damage aluminium and/or polished/chromed metals.

The Autoglym Wheel Cleaner is safe for all metals and very efficient.

my aluminum strut bar got really messed up after my degreasing. Anything to fix the damage? or its a goner?

I also learned the hard way with my powder coated piping... That's why I'd never use any acid based product on any customer car.

I was able to bring the finish back by polishing everything by hand... :yikes:

what did you use for polishing? any regular aluminum wheel polish should be fine for anodized part?

Well, I never had problem with my both degreaser on any engine. I also never found a degreaser who say it has acid in it.

If you want yo be safe, get a bottle of Meguiars APC plus and use a ratio of 3 to 1.
