Hey guys, I have a red 2001 prelude which is starting to have sun-spots and a bit of rust bubbles on the back panels (right behind the rear wheels). Now my question is, would I be better off getting the whole thing repainted (which could run me a lot more then im willing to put in) or should I try and grind off the rust, fix it with putty, sand it down, prime it, repaint it (with color matched Can paint), then get it compounded to restore color ? The worst spots are the roof, front bumber and hood... lots of swirls and little scratches too...
I've got about 1000$ to put on this... which is rly not enough for a paintjob... for 2000$ could I get a whole paint, including the fixing of the rust ? or I am dreaming/way off ?
