good luck selling that..... you're going to need it >.>

and if you seriously paid 4k for that you got ripped offffff no offense.
whoever told you 6x WD Velociraptor 150GB was a good idea is a complete moron and obviously did not know about the existence of SSDs...
you will have better luck selling the computer without the velociraptors for maybe like $800.

right. so the fact that i'm in computer engineering and work part time as the only IT guy for this company that has 25million a year in revenue and also build and sell computers on the side means i know nothing. makes sense.
and yeah your cpu still sells for 300. new. and no one would buy it when there's sandy bridge i7s for the same price.

i was only saying 800 because i can build a more powerful machine for 1000 new....

oh and i don't play wow. i have a social life. i work 24hrs a week, do about 20 hours of school, the rest of my spare time is using on homework and going out. i have no time for gaming.

Seriously, 800$... Come on man, I know you lowball because you’re a complete IT dick like most of the nerdz working in that field. My CPU, for example, still sells for 300$.

IT specialist lol! Fancy way of saying you format computers and send the broken ones out on warranty. In your job, you practically NEVER touch hardware... In any decent sized company anyways... So for your lack of social skills, go see a psychologist and stop insulting people online to get a sense that you’re somebody. Get lost and continue wasting your life on WOW (the only place where you can be something else than a fuckin’ dick).

Truvativ a raison... ça vaut la moitié du prix que tu le vends ! Gros bottleneck au niveau de la carte graphique également :S

my point exactly.
even a year ago when you claim to have purchased all this the better option would of been an SSD for OS and if anything 2 HDDs in raid 0. or 4 in raid 10 for backup+speed

i am fully aware that i am most likely not the most professional IT person around. but at least i know what the hell i am talking about. and i did not come on here to try and sell my own computers in your thread. i was just saying you could buy the same kind of performance new for half the price you were asking for as a comparison.
like if you were trying to sell a 1998 car for 4000$ when you can get the same car but a 2003 model for 4000$. makes no sense for anyone to go for the older one.

as much fail as getting 6x velociraptor in raid 0 :|

ok so you spent 120$ each velociraptor x 6 = 720$

on the other hand, we can have 2x ssd @ 250$ each = 500$
with remaining 220$, can buy 2x 1tb in raid or not
if we had budget of 2x 500gb, can almost buy 4x 1tb for raid 1+0

and then you have 2tb for storage, in raid 0 plus raid 1 for backup
and 2 x ssd in raid 0 for ultra high speed os drive @ 240 gb

as i can see in your picture you are using the Kingston HyperX LoVo which is mainly used as the official Kingston website says "For Home Theater and Power-conscious customers"
the GeForce 260 now a days would be good for most FPS games on medium settings and grat_master is also right on what he said

did you know that now you could buy in stores the Seagate Momentus XT 500GB which its a Solid Sate Hybrid HDD
this video would show you how good it is as well

Edit: oh ya and only sells for like 110$ so not so bad
