Suspension mods on E36

What suspension/chassis mods do you guys have on your E36?

racing dynamic springs,,,,, nice drop but very expensive springs

Maxspeed springs.... 100$ sur Ebay :) ok, ok.... c juste en attendant, question de pas rouler avec un char qui a l'air d'un 4x4 :)

I got coilovers now with racing dynamic sway bars on all 4 corners.. I got my old set of springs for sale. H&R sport springs, 2.6 inch drop.. make me an offer.

Is the handling any better with only springs?

Or is it for the looks ;)

what!!!! of course it s better... you bring you center of gravity down so then have better tracktion.

True the center of gravity will go down.



But what about wheel travel? How will this work out with stock shocks?



I see many lowered cars just continuously bouncing on the highway because of their stock shocks.



Did you ever encountered this problem? Maybe our bimmers can handle it :)

boucing is done because your springs are finished not because you are low... If you mod a car you must droped it..

tu fais comme moi.... t'achette des springs Maxspeed el cheapo a 100 USD sur Ebay, pis tu fout ca a terre. Pis plutard, quand t'auras un peu de cash de lousse, t'achette des shocks qui on de l'allure. Comme ca le char est lowwww tout de suite.

Dont go cheap on shocks, you'll loose all traction you have, and your car wont be stable anymore on the street. You'll even have breaking problemes if you springs are not good.

c'est pas mes shocks qui sont cheap, c'est mes springs :) Et cheap ne veut pas necessairement dire mauvaise qualité.... A date, je suis pas mal satisfait pour le prix que j'ai payé, mais c'est certain que de meilleurs shocks aideraient.

Avez vous une idee combien coute un bon set de coilovers pour une e36?

tu deux sorte de coilover,



Celui de H&R qui vient avec le shocks, qui coute 1500$ pour le set avant et 1500 pour le set arriere.



Apres tu as le deuxieme modele comme le mient, ground controle qui est just le spring, lui il coute 899$+tx. Je les vend moi 400.00$.

Bmw318i, I am waiting for my Racing Dynamics springs from RMR. Do they drop the car well? I wanted H&R first, but changed my mind for Racing Dynamics since I could get them locally.

I have to agree.... shocks are really important. I have my rear driver's side shock broken now and it's leaking oil. Car is pretty shitty to drive, it bounces off like crazy on bumps and I lose tracktion sometimes and my ASC light comes on.



Taking it easy now while driving until i fix it.

there really comfertable springs

not too sitff

and gives a perfect drop
