My friend just bought one, what are the 0-60, 1/4mile times?

1/4 miles vary alot, but its low 15's to 15 flat.

With an excellent driver who is used to the car and a bit of

weight reduction, it should go below 15 stock.

They must also haul a$$ on the highway, with the 6-speed and all that HP. Do you know what their trap speeds are like?

I was really dissapointed when SCC posted such medio numbers.

My lude can better it by .2sec overall stock. And it's a 98 vs 02 too. :(

I love Nissans but i was really rooting for the Silvia to come here.

Anything about boosting the Spec V power up to maybe RSX S territory?

Well just removing the balance shafts gives ya 6 to 10 whp.

CAI is around 9whp dynoed I think.

Header is another 10 whp.

Exaust alone is at least 6whp from what I read.

There will be a write up soon about DatsunDaves SCC Rally Spec V and all the mods they did to it.

It currently has 175whp and 174 ft/lbs torque to the wheels.

IT most certainly WILL void the warranty :)

tell him to go to www.b15sentra.net someone posted a write up on how to remove the balance shafts.

There is an easy way and a hard way to do it though.

Also he'll find lots of info about his Spec V there.

Dont forget to tell him about www.npclub.com either :)

We always welcome new Nissan members.

What kind of car did he get ? and color ?

what little I know in my monkey brain, they are to reduce vibrations.

They spin at twice the crank RPM I beleive, and this is what Unorthodox has to say :

"There is an average of 2.7 HP gained from every pound lost off the crank shaft." - Unorthodox Racing

Id say less then that, but its still a good free mod.

I know lots of DSM's do it.

MonOncTSI anything to add ???
