now my del sol have her heart (gs-r) i have 7 k. what i do next? for sure i want a turbo . which turbo and how many psi i can have? what else i should mod?
thx again i am new here

Call Advance EFI, he'll make you a turbo system with a nice fuel management, exhaust, intercooler and you'll be hitting 12s next year with some slicks easy and all that for under 7000$ easy. His number is (450) 674-5750, just ask for Steve. With the proper fuel enrichment, you car run 14 psi on a stock gsr engine with premium fuel (91 octane minimum) and it will last for ever. You could also run some nitrous or a supercharger but I prefer turbo. You could also cal ADtuning at (514) 631-1312, he's very good also (he just ran 11.96 this past monday, that's all you need to know)

Well with the trubo system with intercooler and 3" exhaust, you would be real close to 300hp, probably like 280 or 290. With nitrous it would depend on the shot you would use. I don't recommend you use more than a 80 shot on the stock motor if you want it to run for a while.

that not bad but i was thinking like something.... 350hp or so.... :p

Yeah for $7000 EFI will hook you up with a nice crappy-ass job....all they are good for nowadays are their piggyback ECUs. But anyone else can do it for alot less. And you cannot boost 14lbs on a stock bottom end unless it is tuned to perfection. And if you get a bad tank of gas.....buh-bye. I have no confidence in EFI after having seen their recent work, I fell over laughing at last year's Olympic Stadium show. Go see Rob at Laminar for a full custom kit or Trac for a nice off the shelf Greddy.

then .... @#%$.... hehehe i want the turbo that for sure ... then what i have to do before put the turbo and not make any damage to the engine? i am all new to this mods things...... thx for ur help

I don't find there's anything wrong with the EFI jobs. Steve work wonders and really knows what he's doing. He always did my turbos on my cars and I never had problems with them. As for the 14 psi on stock bottem end, my friend as been running that exact setup for 4 years now and never had a problem. All you have to do is put 91 octane minimum and you'll be fine. I ran 13 psi on a rs bottom end for 3 years with Steve's EFI and never broke anything exept axles. Did you ever have a bad experience with EFI???

Like I said, their ECUs are top-notch. And EFIs early work was awesome. But, the cars they have been doing recently look like total crap, wires loose everywhere, bad welds on the piping. Details like that make one wary of the quality that was put into the car.....especially at the price. I never said 14lbs wasn't possible, just that the car needs to be tuned very, very well. If you have had yours for a couple of years, then that means you were one of the originals.....back when the work was good. EFI has stopped impressing me a while ago. When I saw them first at Napierville about 4-5 yrs ago, I thought they were Gods, if they would have kept up that level of quality, then no-one in Quebec or even Canada would have been able to touch them.

Well to answer your question k231, right now I'm running with my winter car because I sold my race car early this year to have some cash so I could buy a house and now that that's done, I'm looking for another project car. My winter car is a 91 Integra RS wich is for sale by the way if you know anybody. My turbo car was a 92 civic hatch with B18B engine with ported head, intake and overbored throttle body with EFI turbo kit running 14 psi. I sold that car about a year and a half ago when my girlfriend gave birth to my first daughter (it was my only car so sold it and got a Accord for family car). After that I built a B16 91 civic with Type R cams and was going to turbo it again but like I said sold it to buy a house. For my next car I'm either going to build up my Integra or if I can sell it buy another 91 civic and build that. I'm looking to build a nice CRV block with GSR head and intake and ecu and then adding a nice turbo setup with a 50 shot of nitrous. I'm going to get forged pistons and rods to go with it and I figure I should be real close to the 11s with a civic (I'm not sure with an Integra because of the weight). I'll see what happens but I'm not going to be ready at the beginning of next year but probably more at the end of the season because I'm mooving in my house next June and I have a bunch of stuff to buy so I got to keep some money for that but after that it's all for my car (and the mortgage that goes with the house).

As for EFI, like you said SamB16, I've been one of his client for a long long time and me and my friend had one of the first kits he did for Integras so I've never had a problem with him but I know this guy that use to work there (and he wasn't the best ever and always use to @#%$ up) and he just got fired a couple of weeks ago so maybe that's why your saying the the quality had gone done but I think it's better now. That guy worked on my car once and forgot to tighten down the mounts for the engine, he's lucky I noticed it right away or else I could have @#%$ up my car, Idiot
