Come one, come all for a night of drag racing. The DSM guys are putting up a challenge and calling out all the fast imports to put their money where there mouth is. Get out there and show what you're made of.
Racing starts at 7:00pm

The owner of the Golf 1.8t was unfrotunately sick....I know beause he calle din sick for work yesterday.

See you next time then!

Ah, I see, hope it's nothing serious.

Patrick was there (with me as a spectator). Horrible traction and the tuning was way off (he just installed a VPC and was trying to tune it). He managed a 12.03 at 122MPH, spinning ALL 4 THROUGH FIRST AND SECOND! His car is so brutal that if it doesn't eat too many drivetrain parts (which remains to be seen), it should see some mid 11's! CRAZY RIDE!

Anyway, there's plenty of fridays left, not to forget the all compact day at Napierville, October the 8th! I'll be there + many more DSMs.

We should scorch the track doing some 11 or 12 sec. runs in our full street daily drivers.

Patrick is serious about getting into the mid 11's. As form myself, I'd be happy with some high 11's.

Hope to see *someone* there this time!

So bring your Honda, VW and other compact cars. The DSMers are waiting for you... :)

OCTOBER 8TH IS YOUR LAST CHANCE FOR THE SPORT COMPACT BRAGGING RIGHTS! After that, it'll be winter and the disco car showz (if your into that kind of thing, I'm not!)...

Re: See you next time then!

How long have you been racing cars MonOncTsi?

The Adtuning drag civic will be there on the 8th, This time we've installed 8" wide rims in stead of 5" so now the tire pressure in the ET drags can be lowered to what they should be. Also the NOS will be raised from 80hp to 125hp. Hopefully this suckers gonna hit mid to high 11's.

Time will tell.

Great!

I've got to give credits where it's due and though the ADtuning Civic DIDN'T BLOW THE TALONS, it runs pretty darn good. A car that hits the track for the first time and hit some solids low 12's is pretty impressive indeed! Maybe next time it will really BLOW US UP, hehehe! Good work!

I've been racing my Talon at the drag strip since 97. I started really slow (some would say I'm still really slow, lol!) and in 98, with simple bolt-ons, I ran a 12.96. Going 12 with a Talon is quite easy, tough it's a bit more difficult with the last generation (95-9:cool: OBDII cars...

Since then, I improved my times a bit, but *much* slower. 12.91 in 99, 12.32 in 00 and 12.12 in 01...

Thanks allot MonOncTsi.
You guys as well have done great work with those Talons, You never know maybe you'll hit the 11's on the 8th.
p.s. Do you know if there will be a quick 8,and who is hosting this event?
