My Engine takes too long to warm up

1995 Integra, I replaced the rad in the summer of 2002. Last winter I noticed that my engine took longer than usual to warm up. I just let it be and would let it idle longer to warm up.

I assumed that maybe since my rad was changed that the mixture of coolant needed adjustment but my mechanic recommended not to touch the 50/50 mixture.

I think I know what the problem is but wanted to get feedback from you guys in here.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Maybe you will have to change your thermostat, and check for the coolant mixing.

But your problem is surely the thermostat.;)

Yah, thanks guys!!

I'm assuming thermostat as well. Am I risking serious troubles if I don't replace it soon??

And should I mess around with the 50/50 coolant ratio? Or can I cause damage?

go to the source of the problem ... dont go around it...

u will regret going around with trying to find another cure

I just changed my rad yesterday and had to change my thermostat too, cause the engine temp wasn t getting high enough and the heater in the car stayed cool.

even after i changed the thermostat, the engine still is too cool, and my heater is not heating properly. any thoughts?

well i'm not losing any coolant, and the engine itself is not heating. I think the car heater is just a symptom.

Could it be my sensor, next to the thermostat?
I hope not...Damn things cost an arm

You have air in the system

when I changed the rad and thermostat, I also put on the sealed funnel on the rad to fill it , and I let the engine run until it was kinda warm and no more bubbles came up. I'd be surprised if it was air.
