One of my friend just bought a new Camaro and wants to know how to do a nice burnout !!??

Since I don't do burnouts myself I'm asking the experts !

What's the technique with a manual transmission?
Rev the engine in neutral and put it in 1st at full throttle?

Thanks !

Is this a real question ???? if so your friend doesn't deserve a Camaro

Just my opinion , peace

why is it that the V8, are always accused of being "burnout" people....I've sceen more Hondas do burnouts on the street.. and what he bought his Maro to do burnout, this guy should have his licence revoked

I'de rather see a Camaro or any RWD cars do burnouts than Hondas or any FWD cars , and any stupid people behind a streering wheel should have their licence revoked , it`s like guns , guns don't kill people , stupid people with guns kill people !!

My opinion only !! , peace

Uhhh yeah!

FWD is easier, because you just pull the E-Brake and floor it.

Camaro, hoping he has the same as me is fairly easy to keep it going thru 1st and 2nd.

Rev to 2200, Drop the clutch and floor it.... counter steer, when you hit red line, power shift into second... continue counter steering and enjoy.

burnouts

well i own a ford f-150 manual with a 351 dropped into it, and ya it smokes like a ****er, but i had a 95 Dodge Neon, and for only 132 hp it did some of the best smoke shows i've seen, beats any other car, RWD's have nothing to them, just lock up the front tires and spin it, FWD's u gotta have the power to just get it sittin in it's spot spinnin. But now i have a VW Diesel, so no more smoke shows, except the black smoke outta the pipe when i floor it hahahaha

Russian guy

to lock the front wheels (stick car) you bring the revs up 5000 drop the clutch then transfer your left foot to the brake and hold it the rear wheels should keep spinning if you have totally awesome brakes you may end up stalling the car , I loosened the adjustment on my rear brakes If you have a propotioning valve you could adjust the bias to the front brakes
hope this helps:D

Follow your own advice please!

Guyz? is it a bad thing, for my engine, to do doughnuts? they're really fun, but, how bad is it on my engine?

Another thing you could do is get a line lock. When activated it locks only the front brakes. Hit the gas and voila. It works great.

95Z28, Its only bad for your engine if it's reving sky for a long period of time! but your diff and tranny is another story!!
