Integra auto Transmition help

I have a 2000 Integra SE, automatic trans and it's seems a little funky to me.
It's most noticeble when slowing down to about 10-15 km, then hitting the gas. The car downshifts into 1st pretty roughly. There is no noise, just a strong tug when it downshifts.
I'm not sure how else to explain it. Basically i've noticed it when comming to a stop sign, slowing down (but not stopping), then getting back on the gas (i feel the jerk at this point).

Anyone ever experience this ?

I just got the car a week ago, and it's my first non-north american car.

anyone ? i could use some advise.

well, my integra use to do that, but it is a 90 ... so i dont know... i guess it is normal... and most of the car do that... unless you have a luxury car that have a good smooth transmission..

yup i think its normal because mine does that too...and its a 92...
