No b16a pr3 piston from a usdm b16 will give you 10.8.1 aproximately! The pr30 JDM b16a piston will yield an 11.0.1 compression ration aprox! Both thoes calculations with the 3 layer oem gasket!

As for the CTR Pistons..Id be too scared of there compression on our 12 octain gass..your car will need quite a bit of tuning to make sure you dont get any detonation problems..specially in the higher rpms! And as well as for Itr...cant remember CTR pistons you need to shave about 1mm off each side of the rods to have them fit in..the pr3/pr30 simply fit right on :D

Hope that helps you in any way...However unless you got some tuning capabilities, a good flowing head...and a nice set of cams...with unrestricting exhaust and intake....I dont see the real gains of these pistons shining out!

When you install B16a1 pistons into a B18a or B18B block, the compression is aprox 12.5:1.
A type R piston in the same block, will give you 11.8:1
And a civic type r piston(6.7 cc dome) will give you minimum 12.8 :1
In any case, you will need adjustability when you are tuning.
Hondata will solve that problem.
Our last LS/vtec was installed into a 91 crx,and ran the quarter mile in 13.01@111 mph.
The rod modification to accept the piston(if needed),is aprox $150.00
These comp. ratios have all been calculated while motors were being assembled and are acurate. When I say aprox ,its because it depends on some factors(head planing, block decking, head gasket, sir or gsr head)

Woa I was totally under the impression that the piston to deck hight on the b16 pistons in the b18a block was not 0! I thought that there was still the .003 off thus yeilding the much lower 10.8.1 compression ratio! I did not think that it would be anything close to over 11.5.1 at the most! Are you absolutely sure on this...I dont think that the b16 at that compresion is a good piston on our 92 octain gas then..must have some serious problems with detonation even after tunign!

Im sure you have set it up before im just really shocked as honda tech and g2ic engine builders have yet to quote a compression over 11.5.1 with the b18a block pr3 piston combo!

O wait is this the pr30 Jdm piston form the b16 or the pr3 yoru talking about... *banghead*
