volkswagen gti vr6 theft

hey,
i stumbled on your website and i think its pretty good.
you guys always keep me informed on what happenin in the city in the scene.
anyway, what im here to look for some info on is what are the best anti-theft systems out there for my 97 gti vr6.
my car was stolen right out of my driveway on sunday night dec 9th. This really pissed me off. Luckily i did have a boomerang and they found my car. The bad part is the @#%$ that i am going through right now.
The boomerang ppl found my car the same day i called in, actually 45 mins after i called. The "useless" cops only returned my car after 5 days. now im stuck between claiming on my insurance or forking the money myself , either way im the one thats @#%$.
The part that really pissed me off is the cops dont even have a suspect in the theft. I mean what the @#%$ do they do, hand out speeding tickets and harrass anyone with a fast car.
Yet when some little maggot steals my car they dont do @#%$.

anyway, im really pissed about the whole thing , and its not like i didnt have @#%$ protecting my car, i had a club , an immobiliser and the boomerang
what else should i have to prevent future ****s from touching my car??

please reply with any suggestions

You seem to have enough security already but if the thief is a professional, there is not much that can be done. Garranteed they will be back for it. I would get the 2nd generation boomerang. They have more info on their website. It goes off automatically so there is no calling in. Did they mess up your car or what?

they messed it up enough, they cut the steering wheel, stole my sound system, destroyed the ignition and the driver side door handle.

what id really like to know is who it was and get some justice

my buddy got his 99 gti vr6 stolen from right in front of my house in august.

there is no justice from the police.

If they did that much damage to yer car then they arent pros and chances are they WONT be back. A REAL car thief does not damage a car when breaking into it. When stealing audio equipment the wires all hacked up...no, it looks more like the thief just uninstalled all yer stuff. Id say that with all the security stuff you have on yer car, theres not much more you can do except leave a pitbull inside it overnight. Apparently that works, but is killer on the upholstery!

I'm repeating myself here but I had a 95 cl totally base,all I had were momo mags the 1st time they ripped it off, I had a keyless remote so i never noticed I was missing the locks on both my doors, untill i was washing the car, got them fixed, 3 or 4 days later because I went to toronto so i was out of town , when I came back they stole it right in front of my door, found it the same day with no mags, so basically on the floor, so there was tons of damage from the flatbed lifting it up. went out one night 2 to 3 months later, ripped off again, found the same day again. same thing broken door handle and ignition but they didn't get the mags this time. The cops don't care because cars get ripped off everyday ! The guys get a slap on the wrist if they are even caught while our insurances go off the scale and no one wants to ensure you anymore, and I have no accidents ,no tickets, nothing !!

whew ! all done now.

Shaved door handles... With non-breakable glass. Not too street-safe, but thieves will have one heck of a hard time getting in.

that totally sucks, i cant believe these guys are stealing this much and always getting away clean.

i have every car i owned broken into mostly by little punks
but this time they actually took the car, that @#%$ is not cool
now i have mad damage.
anyway what i need is a seriously noisy alarm so next time so one touches it i will hear it and run outside

Just a curious question which area do you live in? I don't wanna leave my car around there to get jacked. Sorry to hear about your cars. I too had a near theft experience but got out in time before they did anything.
