I love trying out new places, but I don't always feel like 'dressing up' to go eat out. Its in the West-Island, but I hope the clientele is not mostly people who dress up in suits and look at you funny cause you walk in with jeans and a hoody.

Too overpriced for the market in the West Island, people will stop going eventually and it will close down.

Depends on what the prices are really like?
13$ min for an appetizer?

about..

i went with thundergod and it was like 90$ between the two of us, i had a leg of lamb(i always get that at night) and he had his filet mignion and we had a shit load of drinks

i went twice.... very nice... prices are respectable for the type of place/class level

the pasta is one word = AMAZING

im a big pasta fan and i must say its simply the best ive ever had

as for the nighthawk.... i cant see how your bill came to 90$ for lamb+filet mignon+drinks
just the lamb is 40$

J'espère que leur spécialité c'est pas les pâtes.. parce que je trouve ca plate comme repas..ca toujours été comme ca.. je suis pas un grand fan de pâte!!

Nobody is really going to spend that much money consistently on a restaurant that's not even close to downtown... and they won't attract premier cooks either.

There's that Karma indian place in the west-island... all glitz and show and the food is terrible.

ya but comparing an indian place like karma that SUCKS to something you havent even tried isnt exactly fair

i suggest you try it before making any "negative" comments

and there are plenty of rich folks in the west .... we aint talking about 20-30 people in the entire west island that are rich .... or have enough money/special occasion to go to this place

pasta is "easy" to make to same... but to make it "amazing" is something else.... im a VERY big pasta eater and as i said its by far the best pasta ive had

22$ for a plate of shrimp pasta (big shrimpsX6) + spring mix salad or soup + nice setting = pretty well priced to me

add a drink and your at 30-35$ tip included for a full meal

not many places sell lamb chops for 25$... most are in the 35-50$ range....unless you go to chinese places (they are 40$ with salad or soup included again)

when you have a GOOD restaurant, location isnt a huge deal

there are many good places in the west, south and north shore that many people will leave downtown, csl, westmount, outremont etc to visit regularly

I dunno man I like having the option of being in the thick of it all (old port, the main)after a nice expensive dinner than on Salaberry :\

a serloin steak is around 35$ and filet mignion is 33$

a few bucks cheaper than 40 west but 10000000000 times better

you have to admit that salad is the best salad around.. the balsamic vinegret cost an arm and a leg but its really great
