Just wanted to know how many of u guys have done the F.A.S.T course? if u did, what did u think of it. I"m planning on registering for next year. Also, i have never taken my bike to the track. I have a 04 gsxr600 that i got at the beginning of the summer, and for next summer, planning on taking it to the track as often as possible.
also i'm only planning on doing phase 1 at fast next year and work from there. How does lapping work for bikes? is it as often as cars?
The FAST course in Shanonville is excellent, I recommend it without any second thought. Register early though, it is extremely popular.
Regarding tracking your bike, there are a few track days at St-Eustache (like 3 or 4 in the whole season), at 120$ each day
There is between 4 and 6 track days at Tremblant, was 275$ per day last season but might go up to close to 500$ per day this year if Lacelle as it is way.
There is also Mecaglisse, a small slow very technical track that was not designed for sports bike, but can still be a lot of fun. They are 85$ per day (75$ + 10$ for paramedics), a very friendly atmosphere, and the have at least one sport bike track day per month (plus the possibility of renting the track on any day that isn't reserved if you have 4 riders or more, at 75$ per rider).
A new track opened late this season in Ontario, Calabogie. Should be around 200$ per day.
There is circuit Ste-Croix near Quebec City, a track with a similar layout to St-Eustache (read, quite boring).
Further away there are track days at Shannonville, with many track configuration (Nelson, Fabi, Long, Pro).
wow...didn't know about all these tracks...thanks a lot for opening up my eyes...will sign up next week for the courses. i think it will be amazing..just cant wait for the snow to begin and dissapear
