150 a l'eau :p

Yup, got pulled over on Mont Royal with another guy. Ticket is for "non standard exhaust", which means not stock. He checked for baffles (coat hanger) and federal stampings, took measurements of all pipe diameters (as if he knows what a 916 mid pipe is supposed measure) and took digital pictures of the entire exhaust.

Bunch of ****ers are doing their best to piss off the entire motorcycle community. I'm seriously thinking about moving my bike back to my property in New Brunswick so I don't have to deal with this shit anymore.

Seriously!! So far my bike is stock. I would love to through a full Yoshi system on it, but by the sounds of it, it would just be asking for a ticket. Isn't there legal pipes that you can put on? Or are all aftermarket pipes illegal?

all pipes other than manufacture oem = illegal

In Europe you can buy homologated 86db pipes (with removable baffles). I highly doubt they would care here though, they'd ticket you one way or another. The citation is for "exhaust system not in conformity with the standards set out by regulation" - vague enough to get everybody who doesn't have a stock pipe.

got nailed corner de la vendrye and galt in verdun.......by the esso station.......150$.....putting original back on.......they checked sound.......db rating and clothes hanger down pipe.

just told me to give some gas........said its too loud.......then started checking for the orginal stamp from suzuki....with db rating ........then stuck the clothes hanger down the exhaust.......then gave me ticket.....said u can leave the exhaust on but if another cop stops u.......can get another ticket for 150$

ugh..I'm gonna get nailed with my Hindle exhaust. The guy I bought the bike from didnt have the stock exhaust (and its a FULL exhaust..header and everything!), so I'm stuck with this thing. Sounds great...but I'm gonna get screwed.
