Short of BMW delivering a M5 Wagon, this is the best BMW Touring available and offered by Alpina. What a beauty! In the meantime, N.A. gets the 5 Series GT.
The BMW-based manufacturer’s latest offering gets the same 4.4-litre, twin-turbocharged powerplant and eight-speed ZF-developed transmission as its hot 5-series saloon.

Its 500bhp and 516lb ft takes the F11 wagon from 0-62mph in 4.8sec, and on to a top speed of 188mph.
Alpina will offer the car with an extensive range of customisation options, including the option of a limited slip differential.
But the B5 Touring is likely to be the hottest 5-series wagon available for the foreseeable future; BMW’s M division has already stated that there will be no estate version of the next-gen M5 that’s due in the autumn.
