See post #38 I kindly mention that
ok I'll bite.
Why should we pay for the counter actions of whats going on In the middle east (LYBIA) ?
Like it or not, a big chunk of the world's oil supply comes from that region. Any disruption to the supply of oil = less supply = prices go up. Simple concept, really, it's supply and demand.
Secondly why do we pay more then the states when we kindly give them many resources ( ie ) Electricity , Lumber on the arm ?
There's many different reasons why gasoline will differ in price greatly between 1 region or another, between countries. Taxes are a big one. The others are proximity to supply IE where does the oil come from? Another big reason is local competition. In Quebec, everything is corrupt, they're probably in a price fixing scheme.
Alberta has oil, not Quebec. In Quebec, it's cheaper to import oil from overseas than to transport it from Alberta(pipelines are expensive). Don't forget that the cost to extra a barrel of oil in Alberta is 15 to 22x more expensive than in the middle east. And to refine it in this country is even more expensive. It's pretty much cost prohibitive.Third we do have oil so wtf are we waiting for to refine It ? Cost to much money <----Lazy bastards.
4th....People we live In a communist country lets face It , Our faces are washed with "HEALTHCARE" <-----In which I still have to wait 9 hours In a emrg room , and at the end of the week x-y-z Is deducted from my pay !
we have socialist health care, but that's about it. hardly makes us a communist country lol. at the same time, the only thing wrong with health care in this country is that it is hopelessly poorly managed and that the gov't thinks it can solve the problems by throwing more money at it. but that's not likely to change anytime soon.
5TH..17.5 %TAX Hmmmmmmmmm
taxes on gasoline are around 33%...
So you dont mind 134.5 Gaz
not particularly, it's the cost of living. it fluctuates on a global scale. i drive a econobox 4cyl that gets almost 600km to the tank. and a motorcycle that gets ~250km on $5. obviously i gas up when gas is cheapest, but i understand why gasoline fluctuates so much as its a very volatile market.
