That's a real bummer, but the reasons are quite understandable. No doubt you'll find a new spot in no time. Carrefour laval?
Talking about road blocking huh? ...Hmm...
Smaller scale meets tend not to live for long because in the case 25% of the people can't make it on the said night of the meet, it gets boring, so you leave earlier, and therefore, the week after it reduces its volume, and more and more.
One fun thing about those huge JDM mondays is that there were so many cars, from so many different car cultures (euro, jdm, muscle, old school, jeeps, bikes, etc) that you got to get out of what you are more used to and that people from different ''clans'' could meet up and exchange. Crews would hang out and be seen together (Luxurious crew, 2LOW, etc).
They say: ''learn from your errors''. Why not do that in order to have a meet as big, but hopefully more peacefull and less law-abiding.
-Restricted entrance and exit paths
-Big, open spaced parking
-Trash cans
-possibility to have reserved spots for crews
-very cheap entry price, with raised funds given to some foundation (Fondation rêve d'enfants maybe?) (BTW, having a VERY cheap entry price would keep rusty cavaliers, worn out accents or any thrashed cars to enter the site. Possibility to park a few minutes away from the parking could have those people coming to see though).
I'd be willing to give a hand if that can be of any help: directing people when they enter, collecting money, placing cones...
juste dememe, au quelques personnes qui disent de faire le meet chez pieces d'autos lacroix (rien contre eux) mais pkoi on irait faire promotion a une autre shop de performance, quand ON vend des pieces de performance lol
