The new Nissan GT-R Track Edition made its U.S. debut today at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show showcasing a vehicle that’s as close to a competition spec vehicle as you can get.

The GT-R Track Edition is specially designed for drivers who like to wring out every bit of performance out of a car, and features no excess weight or luxuries. It has no back seat, a stiffer suspension setup, better bolstered seats and additional brake cooling, all perfect changes for those who plan on taking the 545-hp GT-R to its limits.

Thanks to vigorous testing at the famous Nurburgring test track in Germany, the GT-R Track Edition gets special Bilstein DampTronic gas pressure shock absorbers as well as higher spring rates. The Track Edition’s additional brake cooling were also refined through track testing.

Inside, the new GT-R Track Edition features blue-trimmed racing-style front seats that use special leather and fabric.

Finally, the GT-R Track Edition’s has a handmade, lightweight dry carbon fiber rear spoiler, as well as lightweight, metallic RAYS wheels with Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT 600 DSST CTT tires.

Only 150 examples of the GT-R Track Edition will be offered starting in May of this year, and will be available in five exterior colors: Deep Blue Pearl, Jet Black, Solid Red, Gun Metallic and Pearl White.

Nissan also detailed some of the changes that all 2014 GT-Rs will have, like improved throttle response in the mid-to-high rpm ranges thanks to new fuel injectors, and an oil pan baffle which will help stabilize oil pressure under high performance driving conditions. Also, all engines will feature an aluminum nameplate bearing the name of the craftsman who built that individual engine.

LOL!! Nissan est rendue comme porsche. Il sorte un char et vont en faire 10 différentes versions en enlevant progressivement des pieces afin de les rendres plus légère est rapide les une que les autres tout en augmentant le prix a chaque fois!!!! Marketing!!! voulez vous un scoop la prochaine va etre la ''GTR Track SPEC II nurburgring Black Edition''

ya pas de hate!!! cest juste rendue quil nous prennes pour des imbeciles, comme si le char étais nouveau avec des beau banc et des nouveau amortisseur. Ca reste le meme gtr qu'avant!

$99,590 MSRP? In 2009 the MSRP was $69,000. Its 30k more expensive for basically the same car. The whole point of the GTR was that it was affordable performance.... sorry but its not anymore

First year is to get the sales rolling, they were probably selling at an unsustainable price.
 
The 30k$ price jump is similar to the 1st gen 2009 Vspec released in Japan vs 2009 base model... Hardcore fans will dish out the extra dough 4 the clubsport just bcs...

Yeah but the 30k price jump is for the base version.... no vspec type R super track performance package
 
J'ai toujours détesté ces mags sur la GT-R, je trouve que ça ne complète pas la voiture, au contraire, ils lui donnent un look cheap... Aucun doute qu'elle doit être très performante, mais pour le look, on repassera!
