After 3D printers...3D Carbon Printers!

No it won't print fancy interior carbon trims for your car, but it will print real lightweight and strong carbon parts!

From what I understand, the outer shell of the parts get's printed in nylon, carbon being used as a reinforced core?

Anyway it's getting pretty amazing.

Looks very caveman compared to our 60K dimension 3d printer. wonder what are the tolerances (probably not very precise)

Concept is cool if you need to make a strong prototype in order to test it asap

This printer however is for prototypes and cannot be used for production (lots peoples confuse) since parts are very expensive to make that way and no way near strong carbon fiber crafted the real way

maintenance and printing material cost are probably Uber expensive

Better pay someone for aluminium cnc machining cost wise

The only reason someone would buy this is test fitting multiple prototypes and being restreined using only CF for X reason

Cool toy tho

wont be buying that until i see proper example of what it can print!
seems the only thing they did is that flat "wing foot" thing that could have been done quicker and cheaper using a flat piece of alloy and a grinder...
nice toy, but if its as reliable as a makerbot, it will probably be left gathering dust in the corner of the workshop by the end of the week.
