5 years ago, I would've disagreed, but now I'd have to agree with you. They showed some interesting stats last night regarding him. Last season, he had 51 goals, accounting for about 22% of his team's offensive production, but had a differential of -35! That means he was on the ice, for 86 goals against...that's 36%. I'd much rather have a player who "only" scores 30 in a season, but who finishes with a neutral/positive differential.
