For those that asked for a build thread of the bobber project I just started, here it is.
Suzuki Savage 1998 LS 650 (Same as Suzuki Boulevard S40 2004+)
It's a four stroke, one cylinder, 650cc, 5 speed (since 1993), 381lbs (curb weight)
That bike hasn't changed much since 1983, only minor esthetic.
I don't have an actual picture of the bike assembled, but here's a quick view of how bad it looks stock (to my taste)
I bought the bike used last sunday from a guy in Farnham, who already had torn appart some parts of the bike...
At this stage the gas tank, front fender, battery, carb, and some other misc part have been taken out.
The bike came with Drag Bars and 2" spacers but I will mostly be looking for broomstick bars with no spacers at all.
I still didn't make a choice wether or not I'm gonna use the original or a sportster (peanut) tank for my project.
At the end of the night, we almost had everything appart, except for the engine/trans.
Next step will be to determine where to add and remove brackets from the frame, to ensure most of the wiring will be hidden.
As soon as this is done, I'm gonna take the engine/trans out to bring it to a motorcycle shop for a complete checkup.
