what does "HEEL-TOE" mean?

little explanation:
You're heading into a pretty sharp turn, and you're in 3rd gear at 4500rpm. You're going to need to slow down for the turn, and you know you're going to need to be in 2nd gear when you exit the turn in order to have the right amount of power.
Get on the brakes, start slowing down
brakes still on, clutch in
shift to neutral, blip gas with the side of your right foot
shift to 2nd gear, clutch out
gas and accelerate as you exit the turn

When you blip the gas, you bring the engine's speed (rpm) up to the level that 2nd gear will be at when it engages. That way, the engine doesn't have to immediately speed up to that level when you let the clutch out. If it did, it could upset the balance of the car and send you sliding off the road. And that would be bad.

The MKIV Bentley says:
New - 147-191 psi (10 to 13 bar)
Wear limit - 110 psi (7.5 bar)
Max. difference between cylinders - 44 psi (3 bar)

DIY Red Taillights - Works for Any Car - Prep and Steps

I am adding this because it makes a huge difference on the outcome !!

if the taillights are kinda faded out
- tape off the trunk - bumper and rear fender ( should not cost more then 4 $ depending on model of car )
- wetsand the taillights by using a 1200 + grain sandpaper ( Cdn Tire 4 $ )
- then use a rubbing compound on the taillights ( quality of this is not measure by product but buy application and the effore you put )
- then proceed to prep to paint

a cheap way to change the whole look of the backend for less then 30 $ and 3 hours of work

1) First buy some Testors Transparent Candy Apple Red Spray Paint. This is available at the hobby store! One or two cans is good, I went with two since they are small!

2)Then buy one 11 oz can of Krylon Acrylic Crystal Clear Coat Non yellowing Formula. This is readily available at Wal Mart!

3)Buy one big roll of Masking Tape also at Wal Mart!

4)Get alot of newspaper! And start early in the morning, it will take time!

5)First you need to park your car in a cool place like a garage. This way the wind will not blow while your working and the sun will not hit your work so it can dry faster! Make sure the garage door is open for ventilation!

6)Next use the masking tape and the newspaper to cover you whole car so you do not spray your car red! Put the masking tape around the lights and use the newspaper as well to cover around it!

7)Next take about 6 inches of masking tape and cover the reverse lights! Use your nails to outline the reverse lights so the tape goes into the edges of the reverse lights nicely, then use an x-acto blade, (hobby blade) to cut around the reverse lightst next peel off the left over tape around the reverse lights! You should have masking tape perfectly over your reverse light's so you do not paint them!

8)Now you want to clean your lights with soap and water to remove any dirt from them! Make sure you remove all dirt and after cleaning, make sure the lights are dry!

9)Now your ready to paint! Shake the can of transparent candy apple red spray paint(follow directions on can) and spray about 5-6 inches away from lights. Use a continuous stream from one side of the car to the other end!(Do it in a constant speed, do not go too too slow or you will get runs in the paint) You need to spray the top half across then the bottom half! This will be one coat! You want at least 5-6 coats and please wait at least 15-20 minutes between coats (depends on the temperature outside.)(Hotter = more waiting, Cooler = less waiting)

10)After you have achieved the perfect shade of red you want, you can test them by putting your blinkers on to see if you want another coat or not!

11)After the last coat you put on, wait for one hour and then you can apply 2-3 coats of the Krylon Acrylic Coat, wait at least 15 minutes(depends on temperature)
between coats and when the last coat is done wait for another hour and then you can pull off the newspaper, masking tape and reverse light cover's off, but be very careful and pull off using a diagonal pattern!

12)Now sit back and admire your work!!!

13)A quick note: Other transparent colors can be used as well by Testor's if you want the whole lighte color changed, but remember to test them after a few coats by turning your blinkers on!

Faded textured moldings?

Instead of using Armor All every week use black shoe polish. Work it in with an applicator or cloth until it's uniformly black. It'll look like new in flat black and will outlast the Armor All and won't have that cheap wet glossy Armor All look, it can easily last a full year (it did on my Mk2's).

Peanut butter can also be used. Further, for added shine longevity, using shoe dye rather than polish is the way to go.
