the other Day i took my car in for a brake inspection, mainoly due to the fact that I have not driven the car all summer (it was however driven by my mom like 2k max) but i did realize the brakes feeling a lil squishy and softer than usual and I hear a intermittent squak from wheels. Now I know I have bad calipers and I am sure the rotors can use a fixing but this one garage quoted my $1900 for the whole sha-bang! He claims all foru rotors and calipers needs changing plus left front cv boot.

I havent consulted "my" mechanic yet, and was wondering if you guys think the quote is fair?

P.S. the mechanic was SO insistent that I do not drive the car until i get it fixed, I'am like WHAT!?!? anyways only "YOU" can truly know your own car, especially if you are familliar with car mechanics.

you can buy some brembo for that price get another mecanic check your car ! my 2 cents
 
Ya i am looking to get the whole overhaul of brakes done plus, tranny (not as smooth as it used to be), and a chipped ec.
 
lol 1900$ is way to much in my opinion, if its a higher end vehicle then maybe but 1900 for front and back discs including rotors is a lil high no joke. just check up how much oem prices are and go from there.
